Three kinds of time

What each part of the day is for

  • Seminar

Everyone reads the same short text, then talks about it. A student opens with a question, others answer and point to the page, and the guides keep track of who has not spoken yet.

  • Workshops

Math in groups by where each student is, a writing workshop, and the science bench. Short, hands-on and taught by a guide.

  • Project time

The afternoon in the workshop on the student's own project. A guide checks in with each student every day.

The workshop

Where the afternoons happen

The workshop has a long bench, clamps and hand tools on the wall, and shelves for projects in progress. A guide shows each student a tool before they use it, and one guide is in the room whenever tools are out.

On a Friday the same room is cleared for the showing.
